Coldplay booked long ago. 
Jessica knew about the Coldplay thus we fans knew.

Are you saying that Coldplay was booked before Stanford knew
 1) that the prior facility was not going to be available in 2025  (news reports indicate it was torn down days after 2024 season; considering design & permitting, I presume the decision to tear it down then was many months earlier)
 2) that Stanford had a team that had a decent chance of hosting super regionals in 2025  (the Canady departure was clearly after the decision was made; Even without her, Stanford was a top-25 team in three preseason rankings)
 3) that Stanford considered using the football stadium for the 2025 season (what were they telling incoming recruits? "Oh, we'll play somewhere. Trust us" or maybe they weren't telling.  Can you imagine if they told them  "We don't know where we're playing this coming year.")
