I think to fill the stands vs. the VaTechs of the world, we need to appeal to people outside of the Stanford community. Like myself. I love Stanford sports, always have, because I enjoy and value high-level entertainment. I think Stanford works really, really hard to attract the Stanford community and makes a token effort at attracting the hundreds of thousands of college football fans who live within a two-hour drive of Stanford Stadium. I think Stanford barely scratches the surface.
