At age 65, he is not likely to be around as long as Leland, Bowlsby, or Muir. He can set the course in a new direction and keep the seat warm until Luck is ready or Stanford can hire somebody with athletic experience who commands a big salary. The latter is not likely to happen very soon with budget problems looming for the foreseeable future.
