We wish we were Rice. They won 7 more games over the past four years than did Stanford.  No, we don't wish we were Rice. They put up with seven seasons of dreck from Mike Bloomgren and we ash canned Taylor after merely two.

I remember going to a Stanford game decades ago with a couple of Rice fans, back when I was single and did stuff like that. Texas lost to somebody that day (not Rice - that's only happened twice in 52 tries since 1960), but were they ever down to party that night.

When we beat Cal twice in 52 tries, then we're Rice.  Good news is....I'll be dead.
