Therefore I have a hard time taking a Pollyanna attitude toward this game. It's not like we were playing Alabama or Georgia. This is a game we could have and should have won, despite what the odds makers said.

I don't feel I'm being Pollyanna.
We are a terrible team.
We have been a terrible team for many years.
We have been talking for years about how terrible we are.
We all hope to be less terrible this year.
Most of us do not expect we will be less terrible until we stop losing our best players to the transfer portal.
But yesterday for the first time in a while I felt like we were a watchable team.
