MPSF Men's Water Polo starts this weekend, and what a start! Stanford is hosting USC at 1PM Saturday and UCLA at 1PM Sunday.
Stanford played those teams at their pools just 2 weeks ago and lost against UCLA in OT, and lost against USC by 1 goal.
Against UCLA, the refs called more than twice as many ejections against Stanford, which tipped the balance to UCLA.
Will playing at home with a home crowd give Stanford the edge?
Be aware that previously free admission is no longer (although it may be available for students). Admission is $15 each game, or $30 for the 3-pack of these 2 games plus a game against Cal in 2 weeks. (In other words, the 3-pack is only worth it if you will go to all 3 games.)
The weather will be postcard-perfect California weather: Sunny with a high in the mid-70s.
You can also now buy tickets for the MPSF tournament ($80) AND for the NCAA tournament ($80), both happening at Stanford.
