Love quotes like that. Rick Barry's kid, Jon Barry, was a little-used NBA player who said "I led the league in billions" meaning a stat line of one minute played, then nine zeros straight across, no FGA/FG, 3PTFGA/3PTFG, FTA/FT, TOs, Assts, Fouls.

As for general quotes on athletics, I always liked this one: "Talent sets the floor, character sets the ceiling."
