The UVA-State game was non-conference so there are still three undefeated teams in conference.
Tech 4-0
UVA 3-0
SMU 3-0
The single loss teams are Pitt, Duke, Louisville, Cal, and Miami
OK, we're only half way through so anything can happen and permutations are silly, but one problem with mega conferences is the lack of head-to-head contests when it counts. None of the three currently undefeated teams plays each other this year. Tech already beat Duke (game up on them) and plays Pitt later but does not play Louisville, Cal, or Miami. Tiebreaking might be fun depending on what happens. Looks like a multi-team tiebreaker will be done in MatLab. I say go with the longest name.
My UVA son agreed that we want Tech to win out including UGA while UVA wins the remainder of their games (nothing marquee left for the committee to like over some 3-loss SEC team) and Tech "lets" UVA have the conference championship as sort of a thanks for 1990 while GT rests everyone and Tech and Virginia both go to the playoff.
