Really?  I love the ND game when we're first good.  We get to see a team with top 10 aspirations, national media presence, great gameday atmosphere and ... we've been competitive.  

I admit to dreading it when we're really bad.

My nightmare is we replace it with a set of 3rd tier California teams - UC Davis, Sac St, San Jose St, or similar.  And the football world ignores us.

Frankly, I don't dread it at all for the next two or three years.  We need to get back to getting used to winning.  The ACC schedule will be tough enough.  I no longer miss the game with the Spoiled Children and will not miss the game with ND.  What is the point of playing a schedule when rebuilding that gives you little chance of a bowl game or going better than 50/50?  Trying to rebuild while being a replay of "MASH" is not the answer.
