She didn't pick up any fouls against Cal Poly, but she had 2 against NC Greensboro and 3 against Santa Clara, which forced Kate to sit her for long stretches. As the season progresses, Lara's ability to stay on the court will be one critical for the team to compete. She only played 19 minutes against UNCG, but it wasn't because of foul trouble. As you say, she only had 2 fouls. She didn't pick up her first foul until more than 14 minutes into the game. And while she was subbed out, it was only for the next 4 minutes. When she picked up her second foul (20 seconds into period 3), she wasn't subbed out. Paye decided not to play Somfai at all in the last 14 minutes of the game. Not sure why (maybe just to get other players some time). If Paye hadn't done that Somfai would easily have been 3-for-3 on double-doubles (just needed 2 more rebounds).
And an interesting (if unsurprising) stat about Carly Amborn. She has a perfect 300 Offensive Rating. I don't know how much time she'll get this season in close games, but I can imagine her getting subbed in if the team ever needs a 3 (if as a decoy if nothing else).
