But he did do a good job of developing individual talent--several players made the NBA.  Plus there were a bunch of guys like Keefe, da Silva, etc. who got steadily better through their careers.

Wait, what??!!! He did nothing to develop talent. He was a disaster with the talent he had. Mr "Floor Burns" was pathetic in his seemingly orgasmic joy in seeing relatively untalented players dive for loose balls (literally the most animated he would ever get in a game...jumping up and down like a wild man) but had a penchant for losing the locker room with his talented players. And even those who he didn't seem to lose, most recently Raynaud and Jones, are playing great in the NBA now DESPITE Haase. They would have been drafted higher if he hadn't misused them, esp Jones. Cost them a bunch of money and accolades.

TLDR: Haase seemed like a nice guy, but he had no business being a head coach at Stanford.
