Raye's new album This Album May Contain Hope just dropped and it is quite worth the listen.

The single "Where is my Husband" was everywhere last year, but this is an album that is more than the sum of its tracks. The album opens with an intro track "Girl Under the Grey Cloud" which describes a night where she hit rock bottom and ends with a track titled "Happier Times Ahead" (self-evident). Between them, it goes through a half dozen genres including electronica influenced, jazz reminiscent of Shirley Bassey, soul and even operatic ballads.
FWIW, Raye is coming to the Bay Area on May 10 at the Bill Graham Civic auditorium.
