Looking good for what ?  Lower level athletes ?

Less travel.  Less of an impact on academics. Ability to develop geographic rivalries. Yeah, it sucks that there is no conference that is a) west coast based, b) has high level athletics and c) has a large share of AAU institutions so we kind of have to pick what we prioritize.  Given the direction of travel, where you have to assume even the ACC’s days are numbered and the realization that we probably are not attractive enough to be one of the “haves” in the next round of reorganization when it will be the BigTen and SEC power conferences, maybe its better to start the transition process to less of an emphasis on big time athletics now rather than to string this along as long as we can.
