The WCC supports the following sports so the rest of Stanford's teams would be left to find a home (and yes some already play outside the ACC)

this is where I think we end up in +/-5 years. Football get separated from the other sports. Men's and women's basketball my also get cleaved off but it will be a different (and larger) collection of universities from football. All the other sports go back to conferences that make geographic sense.

Long-term I can see the money maker (football) being national and everyone takes the non-revenue sports (even if that is often most of the sports) back into regional conferences.
