The WCC supports the following sports so the rest of Stanford's teams would be left to find a home (and yes some already play outside the ACC)

Men's

There is NIL and the portal in the WCC too. Moving to the WCC solves nothing other than shorter road trips in the same time zone, which is indeed a big thing. Long-term I can see the money maker (football) being national and everyone takes the non-revenue sports (even if that is often most of the sports) back into regional conferences.

this is where I think we end up in +/-5 years.  Football get separated from the other sports.  Men's and women's basketball my also get cleaved off but it will be a different (and larger) collection of universities from football.  All the other sports go back to conferences that make geographic sense.
