Follow on question, if you are an NFL team, what chance do you take on a player with a known gambling addiction? He bet on his own team, though there’s no evidence he used insider info or altered his play. Still, if you are an NFL franchise, do you want the risk that he would shave some points in a game? Or that he is found to have relapsed in his addiction and is sibject to a ban from football (or legal consequences). I guess Texas tech was willing to… erm… look the other way, so if he’s good enough and falls far enough that he might be a steal, someone will probably take him.
