Newsweek thinks Southern California and the central California Sierra Nevadas are headed for a very wet winter.

At least two of those prior events lead to multiple "Pineapple Express" storms and winter flooding, rather than tons of snow. Does California have the ability to store water / recharge the groundwater reserves? I have my doubts. Anyone have a good inflatable / foldable kayak recommendation?

Irreversible subsidence may be happening in Sacramento valley (as it did in the San Joaquin Valley). Meaning aquifers are so compacted in drought times, they cannot be "reinflated."
