Quote:FY25 FINANCES
In FY25, philanthropic support to the athletics department remained the top revenue source for our varsity athletics programs. Thirty-six percent of Varsity Athletics-related revenues came from philanthropic gifts. Endowments gifts covered 26 percent of expenses while expendable gifts and other philanthropic support covered nearly 10 percent of the department’s expenses. As we continue to navigate the changing athletics landscape, the renewed and increased support from annual donors and the entire Stanford Athletics community is critical in providing the resources our student-athletes and programs need to achieve success.

Quote:We also had 5,159 donor households who made a gift to support Stanford Athletics, which was an 11 percent increase compared to the prior year

Quote:Thanks to the incredible generosity of 4,729 donor households, a record-breaking $12.2 million was raised in direct, annual support to the Buck/Cardinal Club, sport-specific annual funds, or the newly created Home of Champions fund. In response to the House vs. NCAA settlement in June, Stanford Athletics introduced the Home of Champions fund, a new annual giving opportunity that supports additional scholarships and Institutional NIL funding that is used to attract and retain world-class student-athletes.
The first campus-wide Stanford Day of Giving proved a resounding success for Stanford Athletics, with 2,170 donors raising $872,810 in just 36 hours. Athletics led all schools and units on campus in both total dollars raised and number of donors. Women’s soccer, with 334 donors and 36 percent former student-athlete participation, and men’s soccer, with 354 donors and 11 percent participation from former student-athletes, topped the donor count and former student-athlete participation leaderboards.
