Maybe. Not being able to put away teams that are clearly less talented could reflect the lack of a killer instinct, as could losing focus in a third set after going up 2-0 (as happened in our last three matches; as I’m sitting here, Marquette is up 15-9 in the third).
On the other hand, starting slowly in a back-and-forth first two sets and going on a late run to close the set out would not be consistent with a team that lacks a killer instinct.
