This week's AVCA poll shows that Stanford dropped from #3 to #4.

I was confused, because I was pretty sure Stanford was #4 last week. It was in StanfordWVB IG. 
But I recall AVCA had their record was wrong.

So rechecked last week's poll, and it does now show Stanford at #3:

Five points ahead of Kentucky.  So the wrong record was a symptom of them being swapped, I guess.

Your recollection is correct as far as the ranking of Stanford.
Here's a Sep. 2 copy of the "Aug 31 poll" showing Stanford (2-0) as 4th with 1411 points, Kentucky (3-1) as 3rd with 1461 points.
Indeed, the current (Sep 7) page you linked to has the "Aug 31 poll" showing Stanford (2-0) as 3rd with 1416 points and Kentucky (3-1) as 4th with 1411 points.

I hear the ballots are being seized and federal authorities are swooping in. (:-?)
