According to WeareSC (as quoted by SJMN) the final alignment vote was 7-5.
If the alignment is the Cali protection plan, I wonder which 5 were against the alignment? I feel like I am watching Survivor.
If 5 were unhappy with the plan that would tell me that this is a very unstable marriage since far too many have already expressed a desire for a different plan.
I can almost see the divorce already.
Alternatively, Boise State, Wyoming, Colorado State and BYU could join the Pac. If that happened it should be very easy to create an 8 by 8 style conference. Most of the Mountain 8 would be familiar with BYU\'s Saturday rules, and the Pacific 8 would get to finally come together.
