I should add that there is a difference between an 80 yard touchdown run and a 1 yard touchdown run; with a 1 yard touchdown run there is no evidence that the runner would have made it to the second level and could have continued going but for breaking the goal line plane. Since most runs make it at least one yard but not much further than 5 or 6, I don't think it is fair to assume that a 1 yard touchdown run would have gone a lot further.
