Any schedule that includes UW, Oregon, Oregon St., Cal and UCLA/USC 2 out of 3 years is hardly remedial work. Â Well, not unless we find some way to schedule Wa St. three times a year.
Is it pessimistic to not see the logic in playing USC and UCLA twice as often as our division partners? Â If so I\'m guilty - but I\'ve already done my time. Â I was AT the UC Davis game and stayed through the last awful second. Â After that the Spanish inquisition would be welcome relief. Â
To restate my position - I\'d much rather be in the Pac 10 South but if that\'s not to be  I don\'t see any compelling advantage for Stanford with the 5-2-2.

In 1938 Neville Chamberlain declared "Peace in our time", Superman first appeared in Action Comics, Seabiscuit beat War Admiral ....... and C.a.l last won the Rose Bowl.
