Chiney clearly is the best player in the league, and unless she has an off-weekend, she probably deserves the award every week.  But the Pac-12 has political and economic interests in spreading the wealth around.  It could be that Stanford also benefits if people in the rest of the country finally begin to realize that we play in a difficult league with great players on other teams.  All that said, though, you seem to conclusively show that there is no objective reason Brandon should have been picked this week over Chiney.
