I wish him well because I am a Knicks fan as well.  But I just don\'t see how he can get away with his jump shot over time, which has almost no arc on it and thus has very little margin for error.

They\'re not asking him to shoot.  He made the starting lineup because he plays energetic defense and has always displayed phenomenal off-the-ball skills, which have apparently translated well to the NBA.  

He is starting at the 2 guard and Amare Stoudamire is a low-post player. Their off-guard has to be able to shoot.
