If this is the case, then Peppers' comments about Michigan are all based on only having half the information he needs. He'll get out to Palo Alto, maybe meet Condaleezza if she's available, meet some of his possible future professors and teammates (might not be a bad idea to have him connect with Josh Garnett, who chose us over Michigan, despite being urged by a friend to go to Ann Arbor), meet Derek Mason who specializes in training DBs, get a taste of early summer in California. If he goes to Michigan after all of that, well, then he really isn't a Stanford guy, and there should be no moaning about it. Move on to finding the next great DB for us to develop.

He already met Derek Mason. According to 24/7 sports, both Mason and Kotulski visited Peppers on April 15. I hope he can visit before the students leave to get a sense for Stanford's amazing spring and the energy that students bring. We had some big recruits visit last summer and they probably only saw tourists and grad students.Â
