It\'s always disappointing to see a decommit, but the silver lining is that it opens a spot for someone else.  We still have a lot of highly rated recruits showing some interest in Stanford, so maybe this makes room for one of them.

A 6\'2", 230 pound DE, three star...be nice to get a four star in his place.  Or it may be as simple as the recruit looking at our roster and other recruits and saying, "I\'ll never get any playing time," or as simple as Mom saying for the 1,000th time "I wish you could play close to home so I could see you, do your laundry, etc."

Incidentally, that last point worked against us.  My son made it clear that 400 miles was the minimum and 3,000 miles away worked out even better...
