"After everything conceivable had been written"... was that on purpose?

And assuming I remember the last days of pregnancy correctly: if the baby hadn't been born when it was or soon after, the journalistic cannibalism would have been nothing compared to what Kate would have done to William after 36 hours or so of labor...
