Quote:Still out: Stanford safety Delano Howell and wide receiver Chris Owusu, both of whom have undisclosed injuries, didn\'t practice Tuesday, although Howell said he expected to be back today.
"Today" would be Wednesday, which was yesterday. http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cg...rss.sports
Quote:Briefly: Stepfan Taylor is 151 yards from reaching 1,000 rushing yards. That would make him the first Stanford sophomore to reach the plateau since Darrin Nelson in 1978. Only five other running backs in Stanford history have rushed for more than 1,000 yards in a season: Nelson, school-record-holder Toby Gerhart, Brad Muster, Jon Volpe and Tommy Vardell. ... Cal wide receiver and kick returner Jeremy Ross has an injured finger but will play. ... If Chris Owusu can\'t play Saturday, Stanford won\'t be as dangerous on kickoff returns. He has averaged 24.7 yards this year, but when he missed the Arizona State game, Usua Amanam returned three kickoffs a total of 32 yards.
And that was posted about two hours ago. I guess the Chron hasn\'t figured out if Owusu is in good shape or not. http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cg...1GDN1E.DTL
