[Hulk01]

With my friend Mick on disco.  It was hell if you could not dance.  But if you could, it was better than being a lead guitarist.

Loved The Bump, the best ice-breaking dance ever invented.  Great memories of a night in Dallas.  Not some trysts after but those hours on the floor.  The music was celebratory.

Disco also was much better dancing music than listening music.  Disco really syncopates with the moves of that time, and that pace is too fast for ballad but too slow for anthem.

So timely to hear the references to the black holes of the 70’s because I was making a playlist for a favorite woman yesterday.  Because she attended high school in the early 70’s, I tried to find a good song from each of her four years.  Nothing.

Also empathize with the post about losing access to music now that everyone is in headphones.  Lots of sports bars stream lots of the songs that we have listed, like Capital Cities, Pitbull, The Script.  And those bars aren’t all kids in backward baseball hats.  Plus Storify makes it possible to catch up and create your own lists by constantly suggesting music similar to the music you favorite.  This thread was started in large part to show many of you how to get back into a pastime that once mattered to you, perhaps a lot.  There’s still great music and it’s so much easier to find.
