Sly and the Family Stone at the Frost, 1971? Sly was wasted; not sure the drug but whoa. He kept saying, in a long drawn out take, "You guysssss are  reallllllllllly weeeeeird."
Chicago (at Maples?) 1971? Remember thinking that they didn't trump the vinyl version.
Ike and Tina in Redwood City, 1970? Not sure music has had dancers like the Ikettes since. Tina came on and only seemed to dilute the impact, and it dipper even more when Ike came out. He was palpably a bad guy and maybe that dynamic was at work; Ike arrives and the crap kicks in. Still a very good show. S--t they could shake.
