You can't talk about 70's music without including Talking Heads. Saw Stop Making Sense live at the Greek (Berkeley) in '83(?)- great show! And Ramones at the Keystone in Palo Alto with a bunch of football players in the mosh pit, scary (I'm all of 5'6")  :o

Going WAY back, if you can find it, the Movie Jazz on a Summer's Day is incredible - the music and photography. It's the 1958 Newport Jazz Festival with Louis Armstrong (clearly stoned) Mahalia Jackson,  George Shearing, Chuck Berry, Chico Hamilton, and a stunning rendition of Sweet Georgia Brown by Anita O'Day. Good Stuff!
