Several people in this thread have commented on how cold Philly is. Was the great weather in Palo Alto really that big a selling point for many of us?

My choices were MIT and Stanford.  MIT was freezing cold in February.  Stanford was nice and warm in August. =)

And Stanford had a better ultimate team. 

It didn't hurt that someone returned to my high school and bribed me with red lifesavers from extra food service points.  No such offerings came from MIT.
