Seems to me that playing in a pro-style offense especially at Stanford is better preparation for the NFL and therefore a better sell for all positions with the exception of WR, where the gaudy statistics may make more of an impression on scouts than blocking downfield.

You may be right. But I wasn't even thinking about what gets you to the NFL, just what makes a receiver a good fit in the Stanford system. If a recruit is that tunnel-vision focused on the NFL, that may be another sign that he's not a great fit for Stanford, IMO

You may be right. But I wasn't even thinking about what gets you to the NFL, just what makes a receiver a good fit in the Stanford system. If a recruit is that tunnel-vision focused on the NFL, that may be another sign that he's not a great fit for Stanford, IMO
