And Jacobsen did not have a quick trigger. He had a slow wind-up which caused him to have a short career in the NBA. Jason Kapono was the same year as him and a worse shot/player yet lasted twice as long in the NBA since he didn't have a slow wind-up.
I had, and still have, hopes for Brown, but right now he is more of a shot fake, take a few long steps to the rim (or sidestep for a long pull-up 18 foot jumper) type of player. He isn't really a face you up, cross you over player at this point (I'm not sure Sheffield is this either yet by the way), but I think we also haven't seen his best due to his hip injury. I'm hoping that Brown will show a leap like Landry Fields did in his senior year (I suppose I did forget about Fields, now he could do some things), now that he is actually healthy.
Also by "quick trigger", I did not mean Jacobsen's actual release, but more so his confidence and willingness to shoot from anywhere on the court. I did not realize that ESPN had done a Sportscentury documentary on him (looks like it aired in 2010). The link is below, it's actually a pretty good watch with some good clips of Stanford when the program was really rolling.
