Is it MMQ if those comments were being made during the game? Just asking.
If something isn't working, try something else. The second-half gameplan against Michigan State NEEDED to be materially different because it was clear that they were stacking 8 or 9 in the box and trusting their corners to cover Montgomery and Rector 1 on 1. There were plenty of other options, especially given that we had a decided speed advantage on the edges - jet sweeps, bubble screens, screen passes to Gaffney, flare passes, slants out of the slot, going four or five wide to spread them out and give Gaffney more room. How many of those were run more than once in the second half?
Same goes for the Utah game. No change from first to second half.
Stanford has a MAMMOTH playbook - last year we needed to use more of it when the usual plays weren't working. Cost us at least two games.
If it ain't broke don't fix it, but if it is broke don't keep doing the same thing and expecting a different result.
