No, they're not. But what about all the times that you thought what Shaw was calling during the game was wrong but it WORKED? Everyone always remembers the times they were screaming about a play being called live that doesn't work out but never the reverse. Or, what about the times you've agreed with a Shaw play call that didn't work?

Stanford has a MAMMOTH playbook - last year we needed to use more of it when the usual plays weren't working.  Cost us at least two games.

But how many of the 11 games did we win because Shaw was stubborn (i.e. staying with the plays that we execute best)?
