Edwards and Farrar seem poised to be Stanford's Safety tandem of the future, as soon as Whitfield and Hoffpauir have moved on.

Dallas Lloyd, Brandon Simmons, and Denzel Franklin will have something to say about that.  Justin Reid will too, if he decides to come. 

However, the competition might not be for just two spots.  The nickel defense is well suited to the high flying offenses in the Pac-12, and I think Stanford will be so deep at safety that it will often end up playing one of the safeties as a nickel back.
