5) Iowa has the second most, with six.
6) Non NCAA participants include Mare Island Marines (1918 and 1919 WWI), Great Lakes (1919) and Camp Lewis (1918)
7) Indiana had the fewest RB appearances of the original Big 10/Pac teams, with just one. Even Cal had 8. Minnesota, Purdue and Northwestern have had only two. Oregon State has the fewest of the original Pac-8/10/12 teams with three.
8) Four Ivies have played in it, including Harvard (1920), Brown (1916), Columbia (1934) and Penn (1917).
9) Navy played in it in 1924.
10) Fewest points scored in a win, both Harvard (1920, 7-6 win over Oregon) and Columbia (1934, 7-0 over Stanford) scored seven points.

13) Three Rose Bowls have ended in a tie, all in the 1920s. The aforementioned Cal vs. W&J, Washington tied Navy 14-14 in 1924, Stanford tied Alabama 7-7 in 1927.
