My college roommate (and godfather of my eldest son) has a daughter who is about to be married.  They want to have an in-person wedding and reception in Orange County, 150 guests, indoors, in November 2020.

Nice knowin' y'all...

I hope it's good wedding cake and vintage champagne.

I wouldn't give you two cents for all your fancy rules if, behind them, they didn't have a little bit of plain, ordinary, everyday kindness  - yeah, and a little looking out for the other fella, too.

Vintage champagne sounds like something that might be shared.   That'd be bad.

Let's hope they have tasty to-go meals.
That's a more COVID19 appropriate plan.  ;)

FWIW - I would guess early October would have been the best bet.  That will be 10 days into the OCs lastest attempt to return to a new normal.   November feels a bit late.

I would have been perfectly satisfied if the wedding & reception were:

1) Held outdoors,
2) In the daytime,
3) With mandatory social distancing,
4) And mandatory masks.

I don't believe any of the four will happen.  The things you do for your godchild...

I wouldn't go to that if it was my daughter.

Of course, she would never do such a thing. She won't even enter my house. She's worried she could make me sick.

In reality my real risk is at my job.

Is it safe to assume that you will be wearing an n95 and social distancing? Like the guy standing off by himself next to one of the exits?

Yes.  And I will lather myself in disinfectant.  Might carry a portable fan for drunk close talkers.  And I'll stand by the exits and take frequent breaks. Arrive late, depart early, etc.

Mick at the wedding:

I'm thinking that might make sense as a Halloween costume.

It's a wedding.  I'll be in my tuxedo with matching mask and gloves...

Plague doctor would be a very stylish outfit, methinks.
