Conveniently both 2006 and 2018 (hopefully) are 4 woman classes.
Here's what I got for 2006:
Appel #3
Hones #32
Harrison #40
Murphy #49
mean 31; median 36
vs
Jones #2
Prechtel #25
Belibi #33
Jump #55
mean 29, median 29
By ranking Jones is higher than Appel, Prechtel higher than Hones, Belibi higher than Harrison. In fact, Belibi is just one spot from the second best recruit in 2006. Only Jump is lower ranked than Murphy.
Obviously, the uncertainty in ranking players is high, and if you were to analyze this rigorously, it is unlikely you'd find a meaningful difference. Still, best guess if we get Jones is that this would become the best class at least since I've followed Stanford basketball.
