Frosh Force. An incredible ten true freshmen played against the Trojans.
- WR Elijah Higgins played, presumably on ST. He has played in both games this season.
- RB Austin Jones saw the field again, carrying the ball once for a loss of two yards, and two receptions for 19 yards. He has played in both games this season, and seems to be a regular part of the rotation, probably more so as the season progresses.
- S Brock Jones, a walk-on, played in his first game. I would have guessed his PT was on STs, but he recorded two tackles, so maybe he got to play in some base defense? Glad that we have more safeties getting some game action.
- CB Kyu Blu Kelly played; recording three tackles. He has played in both games this season, and seems to be the third corner.
- CB Zahran Manley played in his first game, presumably on ST. I'm surprised that they are playing two frosh CBs so early in the season, but it speaks to the depth, or lack thereof, at the position. We've been so busy talking about our thinness at safety, and the majesty of Paulson Adebo, that we have not noticed that we are thin at CB, too, at least in terms of experience.
- S Jonathan McGill played, probably on ST. He has played in both games this season.
- T Barrett Miller played in his first game this season, coming in to play for an injured Foster Sarrell, and seemed to do OK, but, wow. are we thin at OL, too.
- RB Nathaniel Peat played in his first game, recording a reception for 11 yards. I wonder what the RB rotation will be like when Trevor Speights returns.
- T Walter Rouse started at LT for Walker Little, and will presumably be doing so for the foreseeable future. His performance was inconsistent, as might be guessed. Sometimes he looked like he belonged, sometimes he was outmatched. He has played in both games this season.
- P Ryan Sanborn, a walk-on, punted once, for 46 yards, a marked improvement over his first game. He has played in both games this season.
