On P12N. OSU is favored by 1. They are coming off a 4-game losing streak and will be pissed and out for blood. Also, we lost to them at home.

NEED this win. Win and the March dream is alive. Lose and barring a massive upset in Eugene or a dream run in the P12 tourney it's the Dawkins Invitational Tournament, baby.

Let's go boys!!!

Anybody have a link for a P12N feed for those of us who don't have Comcast?

As we've seen time and time again with this team, the first half means absolutely nothing. Basically a clean slate. Cmon boys!

Shot selection in this game has been horrendous.

And that last "foul" by Wills was clean.  Thanks for giving us a loss, pac-12 refs.

Pac-12 refs suck. Still gotta win games.

This was a winnable game that they blew - at both ends. Defense on Tinkle was awful. They don't have much other than him. Keep him under 20 and that game is a lot easier to win. Shot selection was poor all night, including on the last possession when Terry was guarded and two guys were wide open at the 3 point line.

We still have no answers for Tres Tinkle or Ethan Thompson.  Showed our fighting spirit with our surge down the stretch, and almost pilfered this one.

Now if we can just execute the hornet-swarming defense on Payton Pritchard that worked so well in the Feb 1 game we'll be right back on track.

Looks like it will take 22 wins to have a credible shot at the NCAA Tournament.  There are just too many bubble teams winning important games for me to think 20-12 or 21-12 will be good enough.  22-11 looks a lot better and only happens with a win vs Oregon.

Loss really hurts our chances. We will need to win at least 2 games in Vegas.

Terry missed another FT and the foul on Lukas during the FTs on TT and a corner 3 with shot clock running out to get their lead back to 8 are the plays that stick out in my mind as the "if they didn't occur", we would have won the game.

We give their big guy so many b lockable shots...he must double his season average when he plays us. How were 3 of our big guys with 4 fouls before any of their guys got to 4. Keefe needs to get stronger to not have his shots easily blocked.

Thought Terry was going to hit the shot with 5 seconds remaining. He had a decent look.

Stanford had to beat Oregon State to continue being a viable NCAA Tournament team, unless of course they beat Oregon.

Trying to figure out how true any of this is by comparing to other bubble teams.

As of this morning (Friday), Lunardi at ESPN has Stanford as the third of the last four in with a bye; or third of last eight in overall.
Bracketology

Here, in order are Lunardi's last 8 in and first 8 out, along with their [NET ranking], season records and record in past 4 games (wins over ranked teams in last 4).

Rutgers [31]        19-11, 1-3  (with win over #9 Maryland)
Texas    [56]        19-11,  4-0  (wins over #22 Texas Tech, #20 WVU)
Stanford [27]       20-10,  3-1 (win over #21 Colorado)
UCLA     [76]        19-11, 4-0 (win over #18 Colorado)

Arizona State [53] 19-11, 1-3
Xavier [42]           19-11, 2-2
Indiana [52]        19-11, 2-2 (win over #9 Penn State)
Cincinnati [49]     19-10, 2-2

Utah State [38]    24-8, 3-1
Richmond [44]     23-7, 3-1
NC State [59]       18-12, 1-3
Wichita State [48] 22-8, 2-2

Purdue [32]          16-14, 2-2 (win over #18 Iowa)
Memphis [60]        21-9, 3-1 (win over #22 Houston)
S. Carolina [63]     18-12, 2-2
Arkansas [43]       19-11, 3-1

I take from this that Stanford is probably still in decent shape, but two more straight losses and upsets in conference tournaments could both be deadly.

I think we need to get to 23 wins including the conference tournament. That means either beating Oregon and getting 1 win in Vegas or getting 2 wins in Vegas. Last night was a bad loss in a game they knew they had to have.

We're 323rd in D-I in the % of our shots that get blocked.  This has been a problem all year and is not improving.
