This is the class of 2022 thread.

I thought it was very relevant to our two 2022 recruits from the same HS. Blowing off their 4*-Stanford-legacy-who-really-wanted-an-offer QB could have an effect. Did not realize he switched schools; that's actually quite interesting.

In any case, our 25 offers so far are the most at this point in the cycle in the last 5 years.

Mater Dei is a wise choice... oops, doubtful any HS sports this year.

Thanks; now I get the connection.  "Miller has left the building" meant Moss is no longer at Bishop Alemany, as he transferred to Mater Dei.

More offers today:

4* RB from St. Louis; father Arlen Sr. was a RB in the NFL for 5 years. We do well with NFL RB sons.
https://247sports.com/Player/Arlen-Harris-Jr-46076710/

4* OLB from Hawaii. Punahou has been good to us: Luke Kaumatule, Jet Toner, and Alaka'i Gilman went there. And so did coach Akina (obviously he's our area recruiter for Hawaii), hence the tag in the Tweet.
https://247sports.com/Player/Tevarua-Tafiti-46084680/

27 offers at this point in the cycle is the most under Shaw. Both '19 and '20 were at 23 offers by this exact date (though they reached 26 within a couple weeks). For comparison, '21 reached 27 offers in mid-December.

Well, it's pretty damn clear we're going for 2 RBs in this class. Hayes reports a 3.9 GPA and is crazy athletic.

Hayes will be at McQueen HS this coming year in Reno. 2400 yards 8.9 per carry as a soph is awesome

As BC posted here: https://thecardboard.org/board/showthrea...#pid287452

Eli King is a legit P5-level athlete in both FB and MBB. I believe he's a WR and a basketball PG/SG. He now has Stanford offers for both. Baller.
That's two offers to dual-scholarship-sport athletes this cycle (current baseball commit Robby Snelling the other).
https://247sports.com/Player/Eli-King-46100994/

Also, it should be noted that 32 offers at this stage in the game is by far the most under Shaw ("by far" being a relative term when we're talking ~70-85 total offers throughout the entire cycle). 2019 and 2020 were at 26 and 27 respectively, and neither hit 30 until December/January.

Carberry continues to not mess around. The second 4* OL from Wisconsin offered this cycle. Badgers licking their chops at the in-state beef.

Love the Elway photo but maybe Mr. Otton should have included one of Elway's TEs, Chris Dressel?

If there's one thing people have learned in Berkeley, it's that you can't put "Cal football" and "Rose Bowl" in the same sentence. The words just don't fit. You'd be better off linking "covered wagons" with "Mars travel." (Bruce Jenkins, SF Chronicle, Nov. 11, 2017)

By the way, Otten is more grateful to receive an offer from Stanford University than Schrauth as he put two exclamation points after the quote, while Schrauth only put one exclamation point`.

Otton reports a 3.84 GPA. His older brother Cade Otton is a standout TE at UW, so naturally there's already a crystal ball pick for them. He also attends the same HS as '21 DT target Jacob Schuster.

The offer pace in this cycle is encouraging. 35 offers before Junior year starts (for almost all these kids) is significantly more than '19 and '20 (27 and 26 IIRC) and blows lackluster '21 (only 15!) totally out of the water.

judging by past results, i'd say this is more informative than 247's crystal ball forecasts.
