I’ve heard rumblings that it’s Britney Anderson from Virginia Tech.

Anderson is now followed by Stanford WBB.
And Anderson just resigned from VA Tech

Kendall Dudley is an interesting prospect, I can’t say I know enough about her to make a judgement of the impact she’ll have at the next level. There is a picture on Twitter if her wearing a Notre Dame shirt, but that rarely means anything.

As for predictions made by my crystal ball? They definitely always come true. I dream of Azzi Fudd coming to Stanford, and the reward of the Boneyard imploding would be magnificent. I can’t really tell you more about the fickle nature of recruiting or provide much insight, but usually, if there’s news or a gif that someone wants made, I can make that happen.

her is very impressive. she's playing point guard and playing it well. big and strong, good defense, great court vision and passing.

Wow, if that is her as a high school freshman, she is impressive.  The only thing about a highlight reel is you don't get to see all the mistakes and missed shots.  But she is clearly talented as a freshman.

I believe Dudley is already ranked #1 in 2024 by at least one outlet. Of course it is very early, but she already has numerous offers (Virginia Tech was one of them). If her development continues, she will be a top prospect in 2024.

It appears Coach Paye and Coach Anderson have recently began following Ogden. She is certainly one to look out for in 2023.

Elena Bosgana is a new name to look out for. A 6-2 SG/SF from Greece. A crafty scorer born in December 2003. Probably makes her a 2022?

Kate Paye just followed her on Instagram. Bosgana also follows a couple of Stanford players, but she also follows like the whole Oregon team and staff. Cal also may be involved.

Question for us social media neanderthals.  (I've never used twitter, instagram, or anything of the kind.  Heck, I got my first smart phone less than a year ago.)

Can anyone think of a WBB player we successfully recruited who was not first followed by Stanford coaches on social media--within the last few years?  Does Stanford EVER recruit someone without first following them on social media?  In other words, how reliable is this (really) as a way for us fans to narrow the list of potential recruits?

Well not every coach of every Stanford sport is on social media so there’s that

Almost all of the players listed have great grades. Doesn’t mean great enough of course

WBB on Twitter suddenly followin a player like Kiki I from So cal is telling because the SID posted that and he had to be told

It’s a great indicator 81. An indicator that a coach is interested in that player

Now Kate following Denny who I just added may mean little as Denny’s mom is Kiki Rice’s coach.

And a coach rumored to have been offered a job at another school will follow all of its players on social media, then stop following them immediately after making the decision to stay put.

At least she doesn't have Oregon and Oregon State on her list!

Does anyone know what position Brooke Demetre is likely to play when at Stanford?  I know she has size and versatility, but knowing where she fits best might help us understand our 2021 and 2022 recruiting.  I had been going off her HoopGurlz description where she is listed as a wing but is described as agile stretch 4.  Assuming she was more of a forward recruit, I thought we might have a chance at some of the tall 2/3's who ultimately went elsewhere (Verhulst, Van Oelhoffen, Kampshroeder, Citron).  But, her twitter feed says she is a 6'3" guard.  Also her high school team refers to her as a guard and Prospects Nation calls her a guard as well.  If she is being recruited as a big guard or wing then it makes more sense why other big guard/wings might not want to be in the same class.  Especially with 2019 Jones firmly in the wing role and 2020 Emma-Nnopu potentially competing for time as a 2/3 as well.

I would guess mostly the 3/4. Don’t think she is quick enough to guard some of the 2’s in the Pac-12, but definitely has more than enough size and quickness to match up with 3/4s.

Unless Brink transforms her body, I think she is mostly a 4 as well.

Iriafen, Prechtel, and Belibi can all play the 5.
