Amazing that college baseball teams make offers to ninth-graders. We have two 10th graders at our local high school who committed last fall, one to UCSB and one to Oregon State. So I understand why Stanford has to keep up with the Joneses, but it will be interesting to see how many of those three 2024 commits actually sign with Stanford.
If there's one thing people have learned in Berkeley, it's that you can't put "Cal football" and "Rose Bowl" in the same sentence. The words just don't fit. You'd be better off linking "covered wagons" with "Mars travel." (Bruce Jenkins, SF Chronicle, Nov. 11, 2017)
