Doesn’t seem to be an issue for UConn.

That doesn't seem like much of a problem for UConn or South Carolina.
4 of the top 14 recruits for the Class of 2021 (including 3 of the top 5) are joining Staley's team, just two years after she got 4 of the top 11 recruits.
UConn adds 3 of the top 15 to a team that had no seniors on their roster, though as pointed out, Makurat has announced her transfer, but she wasn't a top recruit and with the boatload of talent and the already incredible depth on the Huskies' roster, she knew she was not getting significant playing time.
But it's not like we've been immune to transfers ourselves.
In the '22-23 season, we would have:
Seniors:
Haley Jones, Ashten Prechtel, Fran Belibi, Hannah Jump, Jenna Brown (5th year senior?)
Juniors:
Cameron Brink, Jana van Gytenbeek, Agnes Emma-Nnopu
Sophomores:
Brooke Demetre, Okikiola Iriafen, Jzaniya Harriel, Elena Bosgana
Freshmen:
Lauren Betts
We will need to reload the roster as key players will be set to graduate; in particular, the PG position will be thin, but we also lose a lot of depth at the 3, 4 and 5 with Jones, Prechtel and Belibi graduating after the '22-'23 season. Picking up Kiki Rice's commitment is essential, IMO. We'll have the premier frontcourt in the game with 6'7" Betts and 6'4" Brink for two seasons together, but that doesn't mean we should shy away from getting a top post in 2023 as Brink will be a senior by the time the Class of '23 arrives.

I am crossing my fingers for Juju Watkins for the class of '23.

My fingers are triple crossed for Kiki Rice in '22 and Juju Watkins and Chloe Briggs in '23. We get those players and we will be able to keep up with the guard/wing arms race that UConn and South Carolina have initiated.
With the draft declaration deadline passed, any word on Wilson's plans?
Edit: oh, i see bobk said no word as of an hour ago

There has been no mention of Emma-Nnopu. I wonder what she will be capable of in a normal year and after improving as a rising sophomore. The coaches have praised her defense and rebounding.
Also should mention how far Jump has come, become more versatile offensively and much better defensively.
Belibi is such an odd story. I hope she regains her confidence and comes on strong for her junior year. I would love to see her dunk in a national championship game!

From what little we’ve seen, I would just say Agnes is a project. She could get a lot of time on the practice court with Kiana and probably Anna gone, assuming she can crack the 10-deep.
Hannah should get a lot of playing time next year and a chance to show her more complete game.
Fran, despite her hops, seems too undersized for the low post. But her high post game is not well-developed at the moment, at least on offense.

Yeah, that seems to be UConn's MO. They attract wave after wave of elite players, even though they might not have enough minutes for them, but then those that lose out just transfer out. We've had our share of transfers out of the program as well, including some for playing time reasons, but I give credit to Tara for always finding a way to keep bench players involved. Our bench play has been a source of strength for the team, which is great, but it also gives players like Lacie Hull, Jump, Belibi, Prechtel a chance to contribute even when they are not starting. Especially for Lacie Hull and Belibi, who were once starters, a "demotion" to the bench could have led to a downward spiral and transfer out of the program, I don't think we've heard grumblings about playing time.
Managing playing time amongst 9 players who could probably start at most schools, and 12 players (add the two freshmen not named Brink and Alyssa Jerome) who would start somewhere if they wanted to, was probably the most masterful aspect of Tara's coaching this year.

Love how they both started the same sentence at the same time at 0:27.
If there's one thing people have learned in Berkeley, it's that you can't put "Cal football" and "Rose Bowl" in the same sentence. The words just don't fit. You'd be better off linking "covered wagons" with "Mars travel." (Bruce Jenkins, SF Chronicle, Nov. 11, 2017)
