OK I'll start the Class of 2014 thread.  I posted this before, but I think people missed it because I was rather cryptic.

Keller Chryst, QB for Palo Alto High and is ranked as either #1 or #2 QB in his class.  He has an offer from Stanford and U$C.  His father is the 49ers QB coach and was QB coach with the Chargers when Harbaugh was there.

Note that the background image of his twitter page seems to indicate a current favorite team:

Do you think we can persuade him to spend the money to come out for an unofficial visit?

Numerous reports mentioned he was in the stands for the annual victory over USC.

Please clear the field! The game is not over!

4 Star DE Nifae Lealao calls Stanford his dream school.  This 2014 class is shaping up to be a monster class.  Playoffs or bust.

Considering even the great freshman class of this season is only making minor contributions (with the exception of Carter, who has apparently become a starter at CB), I think the impact of any great 2014 class (assuming many of these guys come to Stanford) will be felt in 2015-16.  By that time most of the guys from this year's class will be contributing, plus Burns will have had a couple of years in the system (again, assuming he is admitted and develops as expected), maybe we have a mature BSJ running the ball and an experienced Francis Owusu catching it.  If things turn out optimistically, those years could be outstanding.

Jabrill Peppers, a likely top 10 national recruit, also has us #1.

it would be great to get a Chryst or a Peppers to be an early commit.  we will go after a big class in '14 and we already have a number of offers out to '14 (may be 50% of the total we offered in the '13 class).  '14 could be a very good class for us.

Bentley Spain visits for the OSU game.

Peppers says he's going to take all 5 OVs but I can see Chryst committing early.

top class of 2014 recruit OT Bentley Spain is visiting this weekend for the Oregon State game. Hopefully the crowd is big enough to impress him. He's being recruited by just about everyone. I believe he has a 4.0 GPA.
