By the way (and I'll make this Stanford relevant). In exchange for selling out her alma mater, Carly Fiorina captured 1.7% of the Iowa Republican caucus vote. Sheesh, if you are going to be so craven, at least make it count for something.
I guess Fiorina is twice the loser; first with the Hawkeyes getting stomped in the Rose Bowl and second getting stomped herself in the Iowa caucus.

When younger daughter graduated from Stanford in 2001, sans tuition aid, the commencement speaker was Carly Fiorina (then still thought to be HP's savior). It gets even worse. When her older sister graduated from Northwestern in 1997, sans tuition aid, the commencement speaker was Bill Cosby (then still America's beloved father who knew best).
Our family suffered through "Hey hey hey, Fat Albert luvs him some Puddin' Pops" and "So then I answered phones at a real estate agency right here in Palo Alto."
Happily, the educations that my kids got far outweighed the self-infatuated crap they heard on graduation day. So now, quite a few years out, both are happy with their lives.
