Just read the Drukarev pieces on Haase. Before I get to the Stanford-specific points, how many Dook hoops recruits could get into Stanford these days? I remember it used to be that Stanford and Dook could actually compete for a lot of the same guys, back when the hoops tail didn't wag the university dog in Durham, NC, but I know that's not true any more. Just curious really if ANY Dook hoops recruits could get into Stanford these days.Â
On Stanford specifically, it's hard to get any read on how recruiting is going for Haase in terms of level of talent considering Stanford, and versus what it was like under Dawkins. The one thing that stood out most about Haase's recruiting approach is the fact every coach is involved in the recruitment of every recruit. That really does seem to have the possibility of making Stanford feel like a strong family right from the jump on any guy it recruits. I could see that making a difference.
Anyone have any thoughts on the early returns on recruiting with Haase?
