Until this can be proven, I don't think the media ought to be reporting on it. But...hey, it makes for great headlines.

However, if Stanford fell to 2-5 after several mediocre seasons, losing a hard fought game after having a ten point lead, and an opposing strength & conditioning staff member ran up to David Shaw to say "bye bye", I am pretty sure that most of us on the board would condemn such an action as being classless and wrong, rather than suggesting that Shaw simply grow thicker skin.

Kelly is the guy that just last week threw a long snapper under the bus because he struggled during a hurricane. He constantly screams at his players on the sidelines. If memory serves, a death of an assistant (kid taking videos, on a platform, in high winds I think) and a possible rape charge against a player and subsequent suicide of the accuser were on his watch. I think a dead fake girlfriend and cover up as well.
And he can't handle a "bye-bye" from an opposing assistant? Should have been "bye bye, you pitiful excuse of a human excrement".
Okay, I feel better now.

Quote:David Shaw would not confirm or deny whether a Stanford strength coach did indeed say something to rile up Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly after the Cardinal's 17-10 win. "I became aware of [Kelly's accusation] after the game," Shaw said. "I'm very comfortable with the conversations I had with our people about how we are going to react. We are going to represent ourselves in the right way... I don't want to get into it any further."

Here's a link to an article on the woman, Lizzy Seeberg, who killed herself after she reported that she was raped by a Votre Dame football player. Alumni, police, players all seemingly smeared and threatened her. . . .Two tragedies around the football team for whom Kelly was head coach.
